What we do
Project Dovetail is a not for profit children's organisation that supports children who have become disadvantaged through parental abandonment, social situation, illness, location and financial struggle.
Through Project Dovetail, we adopt an orphanage or home for abandoned children, in some of the world's most needing countries, and provide them with essential items, clothing, school supplies, toys and access to social services.
We also support and work closely with local childrens support agencies, and plan events for disadvantaged children within Australian communities.

Our aim is to let the children know that they are special and important, and that there are people who care about them. We want the children to be proud of who they are and to be able to look into a future and see their dreams and great possibilities. To do this will give them access to a social support network as well as helping them with educational supplies and guidance.
Project Mauritius
Project Mauritius was Project Dovetails first International Project., and we have since re visited. We worked along side SOS childrens village in Beau Bassin Mauritius, to plan activities, visits and a party to celebrate the 97 children!
SOS Beau Bassin, is part of the international SOS childrens villages, an organisation that promotes the children to live in a family environment. Here, they offer a substitute family to abandoned, neglected and poor children regardless of their religion and race.
Project Dovetail is supporting SOS Beau Bassin, as we strongly believe that every child has the right to be loved and cared for and supports organisations and homes that work to ensure the children in their care are treated with dignity and respect.
