We work in both Australia and internationally. There are millions of disadvantaged children around the world, so we like to work to help as many as we can and hope to make possative differences in the lives of these precious children.How do you decide what your projects will be?Currently our projects are sourced by our team of passionate volenteers. each of our projects has a reason behind it and is close to the hearts of our team. We then research the needs of the area and find an organisation, location or orphanage that shares the same values as we do. Then we get to work planning the project, which takes about a year from panning stages until the visit. this is to ensure that we can research the best ways to help the children (and to work out how to deliver boxes of bubbles, face paints and clowns in!)Do you give orphanages and organisations money?No. we never give money to any of the organisations/homes that we work with. Our support comes from the tangable items and expereinces we give the children. This is to ensure that the children are the ones benefiting from our efforts and that the children can enjoy themselves by taking part in one of our events.Can I nominate disadvantaged children to participate in Kids Day Out?Our Kids Day Out children are not refered to us by individuals but organisations. This is to keep Project Dovetail's transperancy, and ensure that each child and family are the right ones for our event. we do this by working with a variety of respected organisation and ask them to select a family to recieve a place. This means that we are helping a variety of disadvantaged children from different organisations and who they think are in the greatest need at that particular time.
